Obituary of Carmela P. Galantucci

Carmela P. Galantucci, 93, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Sunday, May 12, 2024. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and had settled in Freehold in 1996. Carmela was a devoted legal secretary for Weitz & Cochran for 30 years before her retirement in 2001. In her spare time, Carmela enjoyed playing the piano, line dancing, baking, and crafting. She was a member of the Freehold Senior Center where she formed lasting friendships and shared her passion for music and art. She was dedicated to her family and always put their needs before her own. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Carmela leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.

She is predeceased by her husband, James Galantucci; and son, Louis Galantucci. Carmela is survived by her four children, Mary Basso and her husband, Edward of Freehold, Vincent Galantucci and his wife, Rosemary of Freehold, Evelyn Levine and her husband, Robert of Freehold and Paula Miller; and two granddaughters, Bridget Basso and Gabriella Levine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Queens, NY 11379.
