Obituary of Frank Guarino

Frank Guarino “Poppy”, 79, of Barnegat passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. He was born and raised in Brooklyn NY and had lived in Staten Island for 30 years before settling in Barnegat NJ. Frank was an avid sports fan. He loved watching the Mets and spending time golfing and participating in his grandchildren’s activities. Frank’s love for sports led to his success as a Coach in Staten Island for South Shore Little League, which he did for 15 years.

He was predeceased by father, Joseph; mother, Florence; brothers, Michael and Joseph; and sister, Amelia. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marilyn Guarino; children, Darren Guarino and his wife, Janet, Kristyn Bye; grandchildren, Nicole Julia and her husband, Dean, Nicholas Guarino and his wife, Lauren, Alexandra Guarino, and Justin Bye; and great grandchildren, Sienna, Shia, and Theo.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM memorial service on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
