Obituary of Sante A. Sacco

Sante A. Sacco, 91, passed away peacefully, the way he lived his life, on his terms on Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Villas Senior Living of Manalapan.  Sante was born in Italy and raised in Hoboken.  He had lived in Port Reading and Jackson before moving to Marlboro in 2021.  Continuing the business his father started, Sante owned and operated S&S Produce in Woodbridge and retired in 1996.  He relished his time with a good cigar.  Sante was “Grandpa” and instilled the importance of family onto his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Whether it was through his cooking or on a Sunday afternoon.  Nothing mattered more.  

Sante was predeceased by his wife, Lucille; son-in-law, Lawrence DiOrio; grandson, Michael DiOrio; and two brothers, Carlo and Joseph. 

He is survived by his children, Sandra DiOrio of Verona, MaryJo Wottrich and her husband, John of Freehold, Mark Sacco of Millstone, and Michael Sacco and his wife, Michelle of Millstone; seven grandchildren, Danielle DiOrio and her fiancé, Jason Ofsey, Nicole DiGeronimo and her husband, Joe, Johna Wottrich and her partner, Alexander Doetsh, Dayna Morton and her husband, Brian, twins Olivia Sacco and Jake Sacco, and Mikey Sacco; and four great grandchildren, Annabelle, Francesca, Hunter and Gunnar.
