Obituary of Sadie Cacace

Sadie Cacace, 94, of Jupiter, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 9, 2024.  Sadie was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn, NY.  She raised her family in the Oakwood section of Staten Island, NY before retiring to Freehold, NJ.  In 2015, Sadie moved to Florida to live with her daughter.   Primarily a devoted homemaker, Sadie also worked as a seamstress for the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union (I.L.G.W.U.).  She led a simple life, placing her family at the center of her world, and took immense pride in being affectionately known as "Nonna."

Sadie was predeceased by her husband, Dominick; and two brothers, Steve and Peter Cartesio.  She is survived by her daughter, Mary Louise “Lou” Tramutola and her husband, Fred; two sons, Nicholas Cacace and Anthony Cacace and his wife, Tammi; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Cartesio and Anthony Cartesio; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to her             11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.  Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Rd, Staten Island, NY.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Trustbridge, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407 or HERE.   For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
