Obituary of Antonietta Ialeggio
Antonietta Ialeggio, 89, of Freehold, passed away on Monday, July 1,, 2024 at Centra State Medical Center. Antonietta was born, raised and married in San Marco dei Cavoti, Italy and moved to the United States in 1956 at the age of 21. She loved flowers and gardening and could be found in the kitchen always cooking and baking. Known as "Nonna" to her beloved grandchildren, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Antonietta was predeceased by her brothers, Michael Pezzuto and Vincent Pezzuto; and sons-in-law, Charles Wetherell and Robert DeFalco. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Ialeggio; daughters, Susan Wetherell of Point Pleasant, Lydia Rosenberg and her husband, Michael of Westfield, and Lori DeFalco of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Allison Wetherell, Dean DeFalco, Elizabeth Rosenberg, John Rosenberg, and Devin Pedersen; sister, Filomena Paolucci and her husband, Anthony of Freehold; and nieces and nephews, Peter Paolucci, Libby DeChiaro and her husband Steven, Anthony Paolucci, and Christian DeChiaro.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township.
