Obituary of Dolores Mae Daugherty

Dolores Mae Daugherty, 96, of Tinton Falls passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Atria Assisted Living, Tinton Falls. She was born in Duluth, Minnesota. Dolores raised her family in Neptune, New Jersey where she lived for nearly seventy years. After her children were grown, she worked for Prudential as an administrative assistant. Dolores was an avid baker, loved to sew, and was a talented artist. She enjoyed taking painting classes with her daughter. Dolores was an animal lover rescuing many cats over time. She loved to travel and had albums full of photos documenting her travels throughout the years, meticulously sorted and stored in her living room coffee table. Dolores was kind, thoughtful, and caring. She loved her children and her grandchildren immensely, which could be felt by her unwavering supportive presence. Dolores lived a long, beautiful life but will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Daugherty; and her daughter, Andrea Daugherty. Dolores is survived by her four children, Kathleen Daugherty of California, Cynthia Lantz and her husband, Jeffrey of Middletown, Mark Daugherty and his wife, Dina of Wall and Christopher Daugherty of Wall; five grandchildren, Justin and his wife, Ashley, Devan and her husband, Andrew, Mark, Christian and Christopher; and three great grandchildren, Kerry, Charlotte and Ryleigh.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 22, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Holy Innocents Church, 3455 West Bangs Avenue, Neptune, New Jersey 07753.
