Obituary of Rose Tillotson
Rose Tillotson, 101, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Sunrise Assisted Living. Rose was born, raised and lived in Elizabeth. She retired to the Jersey Shore settling in Spring Lake Heights. In 2015, Rose moved to the Bella Terra Community in Jackson. Along with her husband, Jack, she owned and operated the White Diamond Diner on North Avenue in Westfield and retired in the early 70’s. Rose had a great work ethic but when she retired, she shifted gears and became a fulltime Grandma never missing any event and always enjoying beach time on 18th Avenue in Belmar. She relished her time crocheting. Rose walked through life with faith and was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Peace in Fords and St. Catherine – St. Margaret Parish in Spring Lake.
Rose was predeceased by all of her siblings. She is survived by her three children, Joan Olmizzi of Jackson, Cindy Cinege and her husband, Joseph of Jackson and Robert Tillotson of Toms River; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
All arrangements are private at this time under the direction of Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township.
