Obituary of Stephen C. Panzera
Stephen C. Panzera, 75, of Freehold Township, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 9, 2024, at home. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Stephen moved to Freehold Township in 1992. He dedicated over three decades to the United States Postal Inspection Service, serving from 1974 to 2005, where he was known for his unwavering commitment and professionalism.
Beyond his work, Stephen found immense joy in running. An avid and accomplished runner, he successfully completed multiple marathons in the tri-state area, inspiring his family and friends with his dedication and passion for the sport.
He is survived by his three children, Stephen V. Panzera, Megan B. Bassemir and her husband Robert, and Sean Panzera; his two grandchildren, Abigail and Collin; and his brothers, Gerard J. Panzera and Michael J. Panzera.
Stephen’s legacy of love, dedication, and strength will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold.
