Obituary of Martha Rubinacci
Martha Rubinacci, 88, of Howell Township passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 23, 2024 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township just after her 88th birthday. Martha was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She raised her family in Fort Lauderdale, FL and then returned North settling in Morris Plains, NJ. Martha settled in the Surrey Downs Community in Howell Township in 1996. In the Surrey Downs Community, Martha was not only active but thrived in the social aspects of being a member of the Women’s Club, playing games of Po Ke No, Bingo and Rummikub, and was always known to be the one to make the coffee. Martha believed in the healing powers of retail therapy and was a big fan of Sketchers. She excelled at the art of Entertaining and had a passion for music, dancing, and dining out. Yet nothing meant more than being a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother and great-grandmother.
Martha was predeceased by her husband, Gustavo Rubinacci and siblings, Sal and Ida. She is survived by her three children, Elisa Rubinacci of Asheville, NC, Pina Markowitz and her husband, Howard of Freehold Township, NJ, and Russell Rubinacci of Holland, PA; four grandchildren, Brianna Markowitz, Francesca Markowitz, Elliott Markowitz and his wife, Laura, and Aidan Rubinacci; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Callie.
