Obituary of Carmelo F. Reris

Carmelo F. Reris of Marlboro passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2024 at the age of 87.  Carmelo was born, raised and lived in Brookyln, NY prior to relocating to Staten Island and then to Marlboro, NJ. Prior to retiring, Carmelo worked as a lithographer in NY.

Carmelo is survived by his loving wife, Susan Reris; loving daughters and their spouses, Lorraine Garbarini and husband Matthew Garbarini, Sylvia Costantino and husband Charles Costantino and Michelle Garofalo and husband Michael Garofalo.

Devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Craig, Amanda, Susan, Carmine, Connor, Clare and Kaitlin; and step grandson, Michael.

Carmelo (Speedy) grew up in Brookyln and was passionate about car racing. He loved tennis, music and dancing.  Over the years, Carmelo traveled with his wife Susan to every National Park in the United States.

Carmelo was a dedicated patriarch to his family and spent his life giving them unconditional love.  He brought never-ending energy to everyone around him.  Carmelo was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather.  He lived a full and happy life.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 11:00 to 1:00 PM with his funeral service to follow.  Entombment will follow in St. Gabriels Chapel and Mausoleum, 549 Route 520, Marlboro.
