Obituary of Joan Ambrosia
Joan Ambrosia, 79, of Howell passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Joan was born and raised in Jersey City. She moved to Somerset and then to Manalapan in 1984 to raise her family. In 2021, Joan downsized to the Surry Downs Community in Howell. Throughout the years, she has worked many jobs but most notably for AAA Exterminator in Howell. Along with her husband, Joan relished her time traveling from Europe to the Caribbean and as far as Alaska. Yet her true passion was being an artist. From arts and crafts, to painting with watercolors or oil on canvas, Joan’s creativity knew no boundaries. She was a devoted wife for 58 years, a loving mother, and adoring grandmother.
Joan was predeceased by her sister, Marie Eckel. She is survived by her husband, Frank Ambrosia; sons, Joel Ambrosia and his wife, Grace of Palmer, PA, Peter Ambrosia and his wife, Lindsay of Freehold, and Matthew Ambrosia and his wife, Heather of Freehold; six grandchildren, Max, Mia, Mackayla, Alex, Nick, and Jake; her sister, Gerry Pizzuto and her husband, Carmen of Easton, PA; and her brother, Richard Manna of Palm Bay, FL.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Memorial Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Monday, October 28, 2024. Inurnment will be private.
