Obituary of Patricia Ann Brady

Patricia Ann Brady, 83, of Jackson passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Friday, October 18, 2024.  Pat was born in Brooklyn and was raised and lived in Queens.  She raised her family in Malverne on Long Island until moving to the Four Seasons at Metedeconk Lakes, Jackon in 2006.  Pat retired as an Administrative Assistant of Operations at Hofstra University in the early 2000’s after thirty years of dedicated service.  With her faith guiding her way through her life, she was a devout catholic and was a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township and a former parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes, Malverne.  Pat had an artistic eye and was skillful at ceramics and crocheting (especially blankets).  She relished her time playing Mahjong and teaching others water aerobics. She enjoyed her friendships with many of the woman who lived in her community.   Pat had an insatiable passion for travel, embarking on countless journeys and exploring destinations across the globe.  Yet her only love was for her family. 

Pat is survived by her husband, Phelan Brady; children, Brian Brady and his wife, Whitney of Odessa, TX, Kathy Camarda of Massapequa, NY and her partner, Steve Hildebrandt, Kerri Anne Schmitt of Lynbrook, NY, and  Maureen Brady and her partner, Donna Puccio of Matawan, NJ; eight grandchildren, Sean Brady and his wife, Shelby, Erin Cobb and her husband, Al, Colin Brady, Andrew Camarda and his wife, Jacqueline, Gregory Camarda and his partner, Elena, Morgan Camarda, Ryan Kropas and his wife, Jayna and Kyle Kropas; a great-grandson, Beckham; and many other loving family members and dear friends. 

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 9:30 AM for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.  Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, NY.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to either, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or the Tunnel To Towers, Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
