Obituary of Gregory Chambers

Gregory Chambers, 79, of Howell passed away at home on Friday, October 18, 2024.  Greg was born in Newark, raised in Harrison and had lived in North Arlington before settling here in 1987.  A longtime member of Teamsters Local 1100 NJ Mailers Union, he had worked for both the Newark Evening News and the Star-Ledger for over 40 years prior to retiring in 2003.  Greg had a love for music and going to and watching movies with his daughter.  He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching horse racing. Greg had a place in his heart for all animals and had rescued many a cat over the years just to give them a better life. His greatest passion was being a father, and he was always interested in the fun parts of parenting.

Greg was predeceased by his wife, Vita Lyda Chambers in 2020.  He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Chambers; and his grand fur babies, Lucky and Parker.
