Obituary of June Wing Yick
June Wing Yick, 95, of West Windsor, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. He was born and raised in Taishan, China, and lived in New York and Florida before settling in West Windsor. June was foremost a dedicated family man, a business owner, and a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoyed carpentry, construction work, fixing cars, and anything and everything dealing with electrical wirings. June proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a lineman, electrician and eventually was promoted to sergeant during his time of service.
He was predeceased by his brother, Lem Yick; and son-in-law, Richard Lim. June is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Elisa J. Yick; children, Edward Yick and his wife, Patty, Judy Lim, Abby Heyer and her husband, Ray, and Phyllis Vivalo and her husband, Patrick; grandchildren, Brittany, Brandi, and Katie-Rae; and three siblings, Elizabeth, Eileen, and Maureen.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at 11:30 AM in Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veteran Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
