Condolences
To my aunt Rosie you were a real inspiration in many ways. When my mom was sick you went out of your way to visit your sister Diletta and when she passed you and aunt Carmella took her place for me and my brothers and sisters. Thank you for all of that and your delicious cooking. Love your niece Dee Dee.
Dear Jackie, Fran and Family:
I am so sorry to hear of Rosie's passing. I have not seen Rosie in years, but I will always remember her voice, as well as her great laugh. I remember how she loved having her family, as well as extended family, around her, the more the merrier. I also remember her love of Chatskies and the fact that anything in her apartment that could be covered was, with a multicolored crochet cover. She was such a character. You are so lucky to have such great memories of Rosie, as well as Patsy, to keep close to heart. Again, my condolences to you and your whole family.
My Fond Memories
The Tortorello's was the in place. Why because aunt Rosie would rule the roost. we would go to aunt Rosie's to watch tv because we didn't have one. I remember the time it rained so hard Malvern St got floodit. So us kids would go swimming and we enjoyed it like it was the beach. How could I forget how aunt Rosie would cook all day with my mom making homemade ravioli and gravy. They would put a new sheet on the bed and place the uncooked ravioli on it. The kids would sneak and pinch a piece of pot cheese until they got caught and chased away. There are many more but I'm sure your family remembers them all
Jackie, Stevie, Angelina, Booboo, JoAnne and Butter. You all know how wonderful your mother was. I remember when I was too young to realize much, uncle Patsy was my Godfather. So every time we would visit during holidays and most special family events, your mom would take me aside by the hand and quietly gifted me, a card or present with that great big beautiful smile. I would feel so special but didn't quite understand why until my mother told me uncle Patsy is you Godfather. My Godmother was aunt Natalie so I always felt like I had two Godmothers. She always had a special place in my heart.
