Obituary of Sonia Mack

Sonia D. Mack, 52, of Toms River passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Toms River. Sonia was born in Neptune, raised in Newark and had lived in Lakewood before moving to Toms River in 2000. She was a nurse's aide at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark before moving to Central New Jersey. Sonia also worked as a nurse's aide at Bartley Manor and Jackson Healthcare and as a driver for Regman's Cab Service in Lakewood. Sonia was predeceased by two sons, Johnny A. Jackson, II in 2003 and Terry Jackson in 2006. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Mack; a daughter, Alexis Jackson; four grandchildren, Johnny A. Jackson, Jr., Jã Nasia M Reeves, Kaseem Casalan, and Te' Mya Moani-Tyki Jackson; her parents, Charles and Annie Gadson; five brothers, Clifford Howard, Tony Howard, Darryl Gadson, Andre Gadson, and Johnathan Gadson; a sister, Charlene Gadson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
