Obituary of Joseph Postorino

Joseph J. Postorino, Jr., 66, of Freehold Township, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at home. He was born and raised in North Bergen and had lived in Lanoka Harbor before moving to Freehold Township. Joe served in the United States Air Force as an MP during the Vietnam War. He retired as a supervisor in the cable industry and was also a firefighter in North Bergen. Joe was predeceased by his sister, Patricia DeLuise, and two brothers, William Postorino and Dominic Postorino. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Ola Postorino; his wife, Maureen Kondrup Postorino; five daughters, Maria King-Keller and her husband, Anthony of Inverness, FL; Sarah Castrillo and her husband, Julio of Manchester; Anna Postorino of Camden; Sharon Torres and her husband, Julio of Freehold; and Barbara Rosko and her husband, George of Waretown; twelve grandchildren, Paul, Alyssa, Sushcarin, Harley, Geeniva, Nicholas, Arielle, Alexis, Destiny, Joshua, Joseph and Geovani; a great granddaughter, Sarah; his brothers and sisters, Ronald Postorino and his wife, Irene of Forked River; Grace James and her husband, Douglas of Chicago; Frank Postorino and his wife, Christine of Barnegat; and his sister, Bonnie Postorino of Port St. Lucie, FL; and many nieces, nephews and close loved relatives. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2013 for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will be private. For those who desire, memorial contributions in memory of Joe may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
