I want to express my condolences to the entire family. It’s been many years since I’ve seen Michael what I can say is he was the most beautiful, funny kid I’d ever known.

I still sit here at my desk in shock that Mike is not going to walk through my door on his way into work. Mike was the best Supervisor I had, he always made me proud to be his boss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Massey family especially Courtney and the kids you were his whole world.

To the Massey family: I am praying that God gives you strength at this time of tragedy. I did not know Mike personally but was one of the first people on the scene as my partner called 911. I assured Mike that help was on the way and hope that I provided some assurance and compassion to him. I want you to know that he was not alone. God be with all of you.

I never had the opportunity to meet Mike, but have just this past year had the pleasure of coaching Caine's soccer team. I was completely heart broken when I heard the news. Caine is an incredibly sweet kid, and my deepest condolences go out to the entire Massey family. From the Perez Family to the Massey Family, know that you are in our thoughts.

My heart goes out with love to you, Courtney and the kids, whom I have never met but who Mike always spoke proudly about and loved so much. Knowing him has made me a better person. I'll carry his memory always.

Mrs. Massey and Children: Please know that those of us who worked with Mike at NWS Earle deeply admired him. We have all been talking about Mike stories and how he liked to text us all when something pertinent about our lives came up (for me it was most likley a zinger about my Yankees.....or the prowess of his Mets!). Mike was a pleasure to work with and we all appreciated his quick wit, humor and passion for life. Mike spoke about his family often and always looked forward to attending anything family-related, including your recent Disney Trip. I considered him as a brother and there will be a deep void in my life for a long time. I will never forget him. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me for anything.

I don't know you but I live in Oakhurst..my son was one of the rescue workers (Oakhurst Firemen) and I will always say a prayer each and everytime I take out my garbage in Mike's memory.
