Melanie and I extend our condolences to Hank's family. He loved to talk about his children and grandchildren. Hank was a lovable man, full of laughter and joy. We visited him several times en route to the east coast. we loved watching him interact with his horses and his dog. We shared many laughs together. He was always happy to see us. Ever since he left South Bend, we would trade phone calls. I last spoke to him in early June when he called me. I was in New Orleans at the time. He urged me to enjoy my impending retirement and to take full advantage of the life ahead. He loved the joys of life. He will be deeply missed.

We are heart broken to learn of Hank's passing. From the minute he arrived in South Bend Indiana, he became a dear friend. We continued to see each other in Manalapan, NJ where Ilene's mom had a home. We always loved his quick wit, easy smile, business acumen, wicked sense of humor and infectious laugh.
