Obituary of Dorothy Gregowitz

Dorothy L. Gregowitz, 85, of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Dorothy was born in Hopelawn and had lived in Metuchen before moving to Wedgewood Gardens in Freehold. She worked for her brother, John, for 40 years as an assistant casting director. Dorothy was a member of Fords Women's Club, a volunteer at JFK Volunteer Service at the front desk and loved to travel. She was predeceased by her parents, Anton and Catherine Gregowicz; four brothers, Julius Gregowitz, James Gregowitz, John Gregowitz and Anton Gregowitz; and one sister, Josephine Gregowitz Swartz. Dorothy was a loving aunt to Terry and Bill Faris, Judy and Jim Seely, Ronald and Barbara Swartz, Ken Gregory, John Gregowitz, Shirley and Michael Melnyk, Joan Madsen-Wood and Barry Wood, and her godchildren, Kurt Madsen and Father Edmund Majewski. Arrangements are under the direction of Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Inurnment will be private.
