Obituary of Anita Nielson

Anita Christine Nielson, 48, of Howell passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 5, 2013. Anita was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Howell. She was a surgical nurse for Meridian Health Care System for 25 years, most recently working in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Anita was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Freehold. Her greatest achievement and love in life was her family. Anita was predeceased by her father, Michael J. Scotto in 1999. She is survived by her husband, Darin Nielson of Howell; three sons, Gatlin, Brent and Kyle; her daughter, Anna; her mother, Anita Scotto; a sister, Cathy Scotto; two brothers, Michael Scotto and Arthur Scotto; her paternal grandmother, Edith Scotto; and an extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and her nursing career family. Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, as well as at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 136 Wemrock Road, Freehold Township on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM with her funeral service at 11:00 AM.
