Obituary of Robert King

Robert F. King, 86, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Robert was born in New York City moving to Freehold Township 42 years ago. He was an accountant for Freehold Cartage for over 20 years. Robert was a US Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosemarie King in 2011 and a son, Robert P. King in 2012. Robert is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth A. King of LaPlata, MD, Katherine Caminiti and her husband, Brian of Hawthorne, NY, Christine L. Pearl and her husband, Bruce of Northport, NY and Deborah J. Cornacchio and her husband, Charles of Chester, NY; one son, Michael King and his wife, Rosemary of Raleigh, NC; and ten grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 9:00 AM for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township for his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
