Obituary of Muriel Brodie
Muriel A. Brodie, 82, of Freehold, NJ passed away peacefully on October 30, 2013. She was born in Newark, NJ. She was a pioneer at the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company for over 30 years.
Muriel married her childhood soul-mate, Richard Brodie. They raised two girls in East Orange for over 30 years before moving to Freehold, NJ.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband Richard; her daughters Debra Brodie (Smith) and Darlene Hammond; their spouses Ronald Smith and Dennis Hammond, respectively; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is beloved by extended family and friends in NJ, VA, and NC.
Visitation will be held at Christ Church, 71 Oak Glen Road, Howell on Monday, November 4, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon with her funeral service commencing at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
