Obituary of Caroline Houston
CAROLINE HOUSTON, 76, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Thursday, Feb. 14, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Houston was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Staten Island, N.Y., until moving to Freehold Township 10 years ago. Caroline was a former president of the Women's Club of Woodcliff Park, Long Island. She was also a parishioner of St. Clement Church. Mrs. Houston worked for Bankers Trust Company in the personnel department at their Bankers Trust Plaza Headquarters.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Houston in 2007; and her daughter, Regina DiSantis in 1991. She was the last surviving sister of her family. Survivors include one daughter, Laura Brenman-Houston of Marlboro; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clement Church, 172 Freneau Ave. (Route 79), Matawan.
