Obituary of Angelo Longo
ANGELO "ACE" M. LONGO, 77, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, March 4, at St. Barnabas Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. Mr. Longo was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident, moving to Freehold Township a year ago. He was the youngest of 10 children. Mr. Longo was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, Jersey City. His route was Mallory Avenue.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Joseph Kelich of Englishtown; a son and daughter-in-law, Francis M. and Arlene Longo of Jersey City; three grandchildren, Deidre Hegt and her husband Andrew of Morganville, Marlboro, Jason Lisi of Jersey City, and Desiree Longo of Bayonne; a brother, Nicholas Longo of Freehold; and two sisters, Virginia Nihen of Jersey City, and Mary Formisano of Holmdel.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by his 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
