Obituary of Helen Becker

Helen C. Becker, 100, of Freehold Township passed away at her residence on Saturday, December 24, 2011. Helen was born and had lived in Secaucus before moving to Howell Township in 1952. She became a resident of Applewood in 1988. Helen, along with her husband, Frederick A., owned and operated Becker Farm in Howell Township until their retirement in 1987. Prior to that, together they operated a farm in Secaucus. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Freehold. She was also a former member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Secaucus and a member of the Ladies Aid Society, at the church. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick A. Becker in 1967; two granddaughters, Christine Marie Becker and Suzanne Becker; six sisters; and three brothers. Helen is survived by her three sons, Fred Becker and his wife, Frances of Manning, South Carolina, Henry Becker and his wife, Rose of Colts Neck and William Becker and his wife, Laura of Howell Twp.; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. Visiting at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:30 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, December 29, 2011. Interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
