Obituary of Dorothy Ficken

DOROTHY FICKEN, 76, of CLARKSBURG, died Friday, March 7 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Ficken was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Hicksville and Commack, Long Island before moving to Leatherhead, England then settling in Clarksburg. She was predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Pearl Lep-panen; two brothers, Robert and Frank Leppanen; and a sister, Ellen Thorvund. Surviving are her husband, Donald F. Ficken of Clarksburg; a son, Donald J. Ficken of Del Mar, Calif.; three daughters, Patricia Taylor of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Barbara LaSalle of San Diego, Calif, and Lynn Lenoci of Howell; five grandchildren, Katie, Helen, Lawrence, Andrew, and Daniel; two sisters, Ruth Evelyn Way of Citrus Springs, Fla. and Mildred McCarthy of Hicksville, L.I., N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Route 524, Freehold Twp. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
