Obituary of Florence Shaw-Kane

Florence Shaw-Kane, 92, of Howell Township passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Florence was born in Brooklyn and had lived in St. Petersburg and Safety Harbor, Florida before moving to Howell Township. She was a bank teller at Prudential Bank prior to becoming a telemarketing supervisor for A & S in Brooklyn. Florence was predeceased by her husband, John Shaw in 1995 and her second husband, Robert Kane in 2008. She is survived by two sons, Thomas of Fort Myers and Robert of Howell; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 9:00 AM for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Cremation will be private and the burial of her ashes at Calverton National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
