Obituary of Raffaele Scifo

Raffaele Scifo, 74, of Manalapan passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Raffaele was born Modica, Italy and came to the US in 1958. After living in NYC, he moved to Old Bridge and eventually settled in Manalapan. He was a jeweler at Ralph's Jewelry in Manalapan. Raffaele was predeceased by his wife, Franca in 2010; a granddaughter, Chelsea; and three sisters, Maria Scifo, Zina Lantieri and Gilda Milo. He is survived by a son, George Scifo and his wife, Deborah of Manalapan; a daughter, Mary Grace Scifo of Manalapan; three grandchildren, Anthony Scifo, Dylan Scifo and Gianna Scifo all of Manalapan; a brother, Joseph Scifo of Old Bridge; and a sister, Giuditta Zacco of Modica, Italy. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 9:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Interment will be private.
