I recall as young teenagers setting fire to a balsa wood model plane in the basement of the house in Wanamassa so that Geoff and I could film it with an 8mm home movie camera (another great B&N Production!). The entire home filled with smoke and the acrid smell burning wood, paper, and dope. Nada came home and simply asked that Geoff and I open the windows to let things air out. We should have been hogged tied and beaten for our foolishness but she never uttered a single word of admonishment.
Many years later I would return to the same house, now with kids of my own. I recall once when she opened the kitchen cabinets to my two young ones so that they could occupy and entertain themselves with all the pots and pans while we talked. The two kids made so much noise it was hard to talk above the din but she never admonished either of them to hold the noise level down, instead she reveled in their newfound joy.
She was a woman of profound understanding and infinite patience. We will always love you Nada. You are greatly missed. May you now find new peace and comfort in God's loving embrace.
Love,
Mike, Cheryl, Kelly and Chris
