Obituary of Dorothy Jacobsen

Dorothy A. Jacobsen, 95, of Freehold passed away at home on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was born in Brooklyn, and had lived in Long Island and Budd Lake before settling in Freehold in 1978. Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was also a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Arne Jacobsen in 1980. She is survived by one son, Arne Jacobsen of North Port, LI; one daughter, Barbara DiNonno of Freehold; six grandchildren; and one brother, Spencer Andersen of Rowlands, PA. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements will be under the direction of Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
