Obituary of Wanda Janczewska

WANDA BERNICE JANCZEWSKA, 94, of FREEHOLD, died Sunday, April 13, at her son and daughter-in-law's house, Stosh and Deanie Janczewski, Freehold. Mrs. Janczewska was born in Chicago, Ill. and had lived in Poland with her parents, where she was educated and married her husband, Lt. Commander Marian Janczewski. After the war in 1947, the family moved to the United States and settled in Howell. She was a seamstress in Freehold and Howell until her retirement from Loyal Cloak, Howell. Mrs. Janczewska attended St. Veronica's Catholic church, Howell, and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale. She was a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Commander Marian Janczewski, in 1970; her parents, Frances and John Szwaczkiewicz; and two grandsons, Lee and Joel. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stosh and Deanie Janczewski of Freehold, and William M. Janczewski of Howell, and Jo Ann Colon of Florida; seven grandchildren, Eddie, Bonnie, Diane, Shelly, John, Eric, and Lori; and 11 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Veronica's Catholic Church, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Cemetery, Lakewood. Arrangements are by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
