Obituary of Peter Cavezza
Peter A. Cavezza, 79, of Howell Township passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, February 24, 2014 at AcuteCare Specialty Hospital at Kimball, Lakewood. Peter was born in Newark and lived in Iselin and Jackson before settling in Howell Township in 1977. Peter was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War. For the past twenty-five years, he was a barber in East Brunswick, most recently at Euphoria. Prior to that, Peter owned Peter's Place in Howell. He enjoyed spending time at the Freehold Raceway but he loved being with his family.
Peter was predeceased by his grandson, Nicholas Anthony Cavezza and a sister, Camille D'Alessio. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Alessandra Cavezza; a son, Peter A. Cavezza, Jr. and his wife, Joan of Howell Township; a daughter, Danielle Sullivan and her husband, Brian of Barnegat; seven grandchildren, Renée, Alexander, Alyssa, Jordan, Jenna, Jillian, and Justin; a sister, Anita Friedman of Medford; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica's, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell Township on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Inurnment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Arrangements by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
