Obituary of Robert Johnson
Robert (Bob) Johnson died suddenly April 18, 2008 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp., NJ surrounded by his family.
Bob was born in Brooklyn, NY June 10, 1941 to Anne Lane Johnson and John Allan Johnson.
Bob, who resided on Hilton Head Island, SC, previously lived in Manalapan, NJ for 27 years. Bob was employed by the New York Stock Exchange for 37 years.
He is predeceased by his brother Richard and brother in law Daniel Charles Kaimin.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of 44 years, son Robert A. Johnson, Jr., wife Lori, grandsons Robert III and Gerry, son Edward Johnson, wife Michelle, twin granddaughters Rachael and Danielle and daughter Deborah Johnson Ilgandi, husband Michael, grandson Nicholas and granddaughter Alexis.
He is also survived by his sister Doris Breitwieser, husband Fred, nephew Fred Jr., and niece Karen.
Upon retirement in 1996 Bob and Elizabeth moved to Moss Creek in Hilton Head. Bob was involved with Habitat for Humanity in Bluffton, SC and was on the board of the Moss Creek Yacht Club for 11 years. He served as Commodore for two of those years.
Upon the request of the family, cremation services will be private. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Twp., NJ is handling the arrangements.
A memorial service at Moss Creek and Freehold, NJ will be held at a later date.
