Obituary of Helen Schloeder
HELEN SCHLOEDER, 101, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Thursday, April 24, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Townnship. Mrs. Schloeder was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., and lived in Farmingdale before moving to Silvermead, Freehold Township, 26 years ago.
Mrs. Schloeder was a member of the Silvermead Community Club, where she participated in bowling, bocce and pinochle. She was also a member of the Freehold Township Senior Center. Mrs. Schloeder enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was a teller for the Central Jersey Bank & Trust, Farmingdale, for more than 25 years retiring in 1982.
She was predeceased by her husband, John, and her daughter, Joan Walsh. Surviving are her sister, Dorothy L. McPherson of Freehold Township, her devoted niece, Barbara Heschle Wrisley of Mahwah, whose husband, Carroll, died April 23; her nephew, the Rev. John Heschle of Chicago; a granddaughter and her husband, Donna and Al Bunner of Florida; two grandsons and their wives, William and Tammy Walsh of California, and Michael and Belinda Walsh of Florida; five great-grandchildren, Sean, Patrick, Andrew, Joshua and Nicolas, six great-great-grandchildren; and her devoted friends, Dorothy Magni and Mary Saker, both of Freehold Township.
All services were private. Her memorial committal service will be held in May at St. Paul's Cemetery, Mount Vernon, N.Y., at a day and time to be announced.
