Obituary of Mary Schobert
MARY D. SCHOBERT, 85, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, April 29, at Monmouth Crossings, Freehold Township. Mrs. Schobert was born in New York City and had lived in East Brunswick and Cherry Hill before moving to Freehold Township in 2002. She was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Mrs. Schobert was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Schobert, in 2001. Surviving are three sons, John A. "Jack" Schobert Jr. of East Brunswick, George Schobert of Monroe, and Raymond Schobert of Burlington; three daughters, Barbara Matuscak of Holmdel, Dianne Ostroski of Howell, and Lori Shymko of Hopewell; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward McCormick of Long Island, N.Y.; three sisters, Catherine "Kitty" McKinley of Sound Beach, Long Island, N.Y., Anna Durkin of Brewster, N.Y., and Theresa Judson of Deer Park, N.Y.; and a sister-in-law, Eileen Schobert of New York City.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by her 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
