Obituary of Raymond Robbiani
RAYMOND L. ROBBIANI, 83, of FARMINGDALE, died Wednesday, April 30, at home. Mr. Robbiani was born and raised in Union City and moved to Farmingdale in 1951. Mr. Robbiani was an elder of the Pierce Memorial Presbyterian Church, Farmingdale. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. Mr. Robbiani received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from NJIT. He was a former president of the Farmingdale Board of Education for 19 years. He, along with his late wife, Doris, served as co-grand marshals for the Farmingdale Memorial Day Parade. Mr. Robbiani served as Scout Master for Troop 13, Farmingdale. He received great personal satisfaction from his civil service to Farmingdale. He was an avid bowler and loved to travel the country by car for both work and pleasure. Mr. Robbiani was a meteorological engineer project manager in Weather Radar at CECOM, Camp Evans, Wall.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris E., in February 2008. Surviving are a son, Neal Robbiani of Howell; a daughter, Gail Thompson of Show Low, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday at the Pierce Memorial Presbyterian Church, 40 Main St., Farmingdale, NJ 07727. Interment will be private.
