Obituary of Paul Carpenter
Paul Carpenter, 80, of FARMINGDALE, died Thursday, May 1 at Meridian Subacute Rehabilitation, Wall. Mr. Carpenter was born in Scranton, Pa., and had lived in Sparta, before moving to Farmingdale 22 years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. Mr. Carpenter was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was an engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense at their Picatinny Arsenal.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Rose, and his sister Harriet. He is survived by his wife Grace M. Carpenter; five children; one step-daughter; one brother, William Carpenter of Pennsylvania; one sister Doris Seecutt of California; ten grandchildren; one step-grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend his memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Pierce Memorial Presbyterian Church, 40 Main Street, Farmingdale, with Rev. Steven J.
