Obituary of Margaret Salerno
Margaret T. Salerno, 90, of Freehold Township passed away at Wedgewood Gardens on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. She was born in Newark, and had lived in Keansburg, West New York and Toms River before settling in Freehold in 1998. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, music and sewing.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, James Salerno; one son, Thomas Salerno; one daughter, Linda Jeleniewski; her grandson, David Gier; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, James Salerno of Shallote, NC and Gerard Salerno of Pine Beach; three daughters, Laura Gier of Freehold, Angelina Helm of Jackson and Cathy Wallin of Jackson; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Michael DiCapua of South Carolina, John DiCapua of Jackson and Joseph DiCapua of Keansburg; and her aunt, Mary Miele of Toms River
Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Monday, March 31, 2014 for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
