Obituary of Louis Aruta

Louis Aruta, 90, of Jackson passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Louis was born in Palermo, Italy and was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn until moving to Jackson in 2007. He was an accountant for Manufacturers Hanover, New York retiring 22 years ago. Louis was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was predeceased by his first wife, Carmen Aruta and his lifelong partner, Paula Pisano. Louis is survived by a brother, Frank Aruta of Toms River; a sister, Santina Taffet of Glen Rock; many nieces and nephews; and Paula's children, Anthony LaMarca of Staten Island, NY, Matthew LaMarca of Jackson, Ralph LaMarca of Brooklyn, NY and Paul LaMarca of Stillwater; and their children who Louis considered his grandchildren, Paul, Amanda, Alexa and Frank. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 and 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 9:30 AM for the procession to the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell Township for his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass. Entombment to follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
