Obituary of Frances Sims

Frances Sims, 92, of Jackson Township died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Sims was born in Hoboken and had lived in Shrewsbury, Red Bank and Spring Hill, Florida moving here in 2006. She was a nurse's assistant at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch for over ten years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of Deborah Heart & Lung Association, past president of The Luftman Towers Community Senior Citizens Club in Lincroft and was also active in several Catholic charities. She was also an avid bingo player and enjoyed traveling with her friends. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Marie Millevoi; her sister, Mary; her brothers, Anthony, William, Dominick and John. She was also predeceased by her husband, Jerry; a son, Richard and her daughter, Sharyn Procopio. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Roseann Sims of Jackson; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 8:15 AM for the procession to her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson.
