Obituary of Elizabeth Ketcham

Elizabeth "Betty" Ketcham, 86, of Farmingdale passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at home. Betty was a lifelong resident of Farmingdale. She retired in 1985, after thirty-two years of service as a window clerk for the Farmingdale Post Office. In retirement, Betty volunteered as the director of the Joshua House. She was also an active member since 1940 at the Pierce Memorial Presbyterian Church. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth D. Ketcham in 1962; a son-in-law, Vincent Bono in 1991; and a grandson, Timothy Blewett in 1998. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Bono of Howell, Sharon Blewett and her husband, Charles of Brick, and Susan Blewett and her husband, Edward of Farmingdale; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous family and friends. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Pierce Memorial Presbyterian Church, 42 Main Street, Farmingdale with the Rev. Steve Kengeter officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
