Obituary of Caroline Alfano

Caroline Alfano, 91, of Freehold Township passed away on January 20, 2012 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Caroline was born in Maspeth, Queens, NY and had lived in Baldwin, NY before moving to Freehold Township. She was a homemaker. Caroline was a former member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Baldwin, NY and it's senior group. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Alfano in 1982. Caroline is survived by her three daughters, Nancy Thayer of Freehold Township, Barbara Schreiner of Beech Creek, PA and Frances Striegl of Albany, IL.; a son, William Alfano of Union, Maine; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Visiting will follow at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Interment will be on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 12:30 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, Long Island, NY.
