Obituary of Ida Nir
Ida H. Nir, 90, of Freehold passed away, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Ida was born in Manhattan, raised in Brooklyn, and had lived in Queens and Massapequa before moving to Freehold in 1994. She was a school teacher, for the New York City Public School System, in Queens and the Bronx until her retirement.
Ida is survived by her husband, Samuel Nir; a son, Elliott Nir and his wife, Ellen Kenny of Pennington; a daughter, Debra Nir of Brooklyn; a granddaughter, Eleanor Nir of Pennington; and a sister, Rose Cosden of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rabbi Larry Malinger, officiating.
