Obituary of Janis Luzzo

Janis L. Luzzo, 65, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, August 7, 2014 in Toms River. Janis was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Hazlet, Matawan, and Middletown before moving to the Silvermead Community, Freehold Township in 2004. For 25 years, she was an administrative assistant for CECOM at Fort Monmouth and retired from Fort Dix in 2012. Janis was a former vice president of the Community Club at Silvermead and active throughout the community. She is survived by two sons, Michael Luzzo and his wife, Paula of Linden and Vincent Luzzo; two granddaughters, Kayla and Victoria; numerous cousins; two aunts, Helen Cino of Toms River and Lillian Giglio of Florida; and an uncle, Joe Giglio of Florida. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 12 noon to 3:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 3:30 PM.
