Patrice, Alan, family, We are so very sorry for your loss. God has a plan for each of us, so he must have needed Dad for a very important task. Remember, those who have left this earth are still with us, keeping themselves deep within our hearts forever. Love to all, Gene and Toni Nigro

July 29, 2008 Dear DeSimone Family, I was sorry to read of the passing of your loved one, Thomas P. DeSimone, in the news paper. Perhaps you may have wondered if you will see them again. Most people have their own religion but we are all affected by the loss of a loved one. At times, we want to know why such a pressure of grieving over a loved one makes us angry, guilty, and we cry. Even at times there are people who do not understand why you fell the way you are feeling when you loose a loved one. There is a God who understands why we feel the way we do. The Bible shows that death was not a part of God’s original purpose for mankind. Instead, it became a consequence which is brought out in Genesis 2:16-17. There God told Adam that if he ate of the fruit he would positively die. The Bible also tells us that God wants us to be comforted. He says, “Throw your burden upon him and he, himself will sustain you” (Psalm 55:22). Pouring out your heart to “the God of all comfort” will help us (2 Corinthians 1:3). God is also loving, kind and understanding. So he made arrangements for you to see your loved ones again. Romans 6:23 says, “The wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Jesus.” There is a hope of a resurrection at John 11:11 where Jesus resurrects his friend Lazarus. Ezekiel 18:32 points out that God does not take delight in our dying, but in fact, he is a God of love and he will bring an end to the one causing death, Satan (Hebrews 2:24). Then the fulfillment of the prophecy made at 1 Corinthians 15:26 promises, “The last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.” We have a very happy prospect before us to one day see our dead loved ones again. Even now in this time of sorrow you can gain a measure of happiness because of this Bible-based hope of a resurrection. If you are interested in receiving more information concerning the condition of the dead and the future prospect of seeing them again, please feel free to contact me.
