Obituary of Daniel Trucano

Daniel J. Trucano, 66, of Freehold passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Dan was born in Manhattan, raised in Astoria, Queens and had lived in Bellmore, Long Island before settling in Freehold in 1994. He received his bachelor's degree from St. Francis College and served in the National Guard. Dan was a reinsurance underwriter for Tower Insurance Company, NYC retiring in 2013 and prior to that worked for PXRE, NYC. He was a loyal Mets fan, frustrated Jets fan, followed St. John's University Basketball and was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kate Trucano; two sons, Daniel J. Trucano and his fiancée, Kerri Inzerillo of Tinton Falls, and Joseph C. Trucano and his wife, Alexandria of Jersey City; his daughter, Jennifer J. Trucano of Freehold; three sisters, Judy Mauro and her husband, William of FL, Geralyn Becker and her husband, Hal of TX and Marianne Walker and her husband, Bill of Long Island, NY; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companion, Duncan. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Monday, June 29, 2015 for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel's Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.
