Condolences
I just heard about Joe's passing from a NJ friend of mine. I went to college with Joe at the University of Charleston, we lived in the same dorm, Cox Hall.
Joe had a great sense of humor, always a smile on his face. So sorry for your loss. We had some great times back in the day. we were young wild and free. Joe was as loyal as any friend I've ever met.
I had the pleasure of meeting "Joe" when the Lowes of Bayonne first opened. He was an outstanding man, very humble and true to his character. I am really going to miss him (I do know he's in a better place) but he will be missed.
Oh Joe. It has been a few years since you and I have talked and as a result - I just learned of your passing this week. My deepest condolences to your family, friends and fiancé.Joe you were a person with a deep love for your children like I have never seen before. And you always put others ahead of yourself. I have so many fun memories. You took this small town girl and showed her the big city! New York City, Atlantic City, the Rangers at the Garden, dinner in Little Italy, Times Square....on and on. I have NEVER had more fun in my life and sometimes wonder if I ever will again. You were bigger than life to me. I am so thankful for the few years I knew you and that you found happiness after all you had been through.God bless you my friend!Rest in peace.
My condolences to the family . Joe you were definitely a humble and down to earth person. I remember you calling out loud " bobbyyyyyyyy " And you just wanted to see how I was doing and just have a conversation about anything in general except not about work. That right there prove to me that you were genuinely a person that cared about people and that what set you apart from people I knew . Good times at lowe's Joe ....
Daddy words can't describe on how much I love and care about you from the bottom of my heart I still remember how you used to call me your little butterfly when I was younger...wow how time flies but I'm sure your having a blast with god and grandma Ann watch over Joey and I my angel XoXo
Joe,God took you way to soon from our children. I thank you that you have given me the greatest gifts which are our children..I promise I will raise them as if we were both still raising them together I will make you proud as you watch over us..we miss you SO so much and we love you..God Bless You,,,,
Joe.....I don't know where to begin. For the 11 years I have known you, we had some great times. You were always there for me in the good times and the bad times. It was a true honor to call you my friend. I will always miss "Hey Zimmie what's going on buddy". Rest easy my friend you will be missed.
I had the privilege of meeting Joe and working with him way back in the 80's. We both worked for Rickel in Freehold-many, many great memories-We double dated with Ava and my wife of 28 years Caroline-(Joe introduced us). Joe could crack me with just a look or one of his little sayings..So Dave ?.....Im sure Joe will be missed by many-he was always surrounded by friends-people tended to gravitate towards Joe-his friendly demeanor and fantastic sense of humor always made people comfortable around Joe..He was taken way too young..RIP my friend....
I am heartbroken for Mike and Kelley and their whole family. I try to keep all the wonderful memories and throw away the bad. I remember my first time your house and your Dad was playing the game "where's the coin" underneath the walnuts. You were so embarrassed when he left his teeth in the bathroom. lol We had our language, no one knew what the heck we were talking about "Free" and "Play" LOL. You were so happy to get the brownies and cookies that I would get for you when I was a candy striper in the same hospital you passed in. Wow, that was a long time ago. I will always have a piece of you. I know how lucky I am. You looked like you had finally found happiness in your life. I am sorry you did not get to enjoy it longer. God Bless the ones you leave behind. One day we will all meet again.
My deepest condolences to the Family. My memories of Joe go back to High School and beyond...Always smiling...Always laughing....Always fun! Gone way too soon. May you rest in eternal peace. Susan
I am truly honored and blessed to have known Joe Santangelo. I’ve known Joey for almost 30+ years and worked with him since days of Rickel Home Centers. He was truly a blessing in my life and I will miss his infectious smile and rare sense of humor. My deepest condolences go out to his family and may they find comfort during this difficult time.
Joe,you will be greatly miss. As i am typing and looking at your beautiful pictures it is hard for me to understand Why? Good Bless you and your family and i know you are looking down at all of us with smiles. Love you Joe!!
Joe has touched so many lives with his short stay with us. He will forever live in our hearts. Never forget the great memories all have had. We will miss you my friend.
Dear Kid (Joe), we spent many years together and you will always mean so very much to me and my family. You will never be forgotten, I laugh every time I reflect back to the past. A few months ago, you said “Ava - wait until you meet JeanneMarie , my fiancée, you are going to love her”. You were right Joe; she is beautiful and amazing. Words cannot describe my sadness but I know you are in a good place now. If you run into Poppy and Gram, make sure you stay for dinner; I know you loved Gram’s homemade pasta “Good Kid”. We will always love you so very much, Ava (Bird)
Our heart goes out to Joe's family during this difficult time. Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. Our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt sympathy go out to Joe's family and loved ones. Rest In Peace Joe. P.s. I will always remember Joe's smile.
I am truly saddened to hear about Joe's passing on. Thank you for all of the memories and the laughs. You will be truly missed by all those who were privel edged to work with you.
I am so sorry to hear about Joe. I will never forget our baseball days, especially the road trips going to Freehold Twp Ed Carleton games, blasting Beatles songs along the way. Joe loved The Beatles, and so did I. He was a great guy and great teammate, who will be missed. RIP Joe.
Sorry for t your loss. The death of a loved one is a very difficult thing to deal with but we are not left alone to deal with the pain. The God of all comfort promises to sustain us . Please find solace in the memories you have of Joseph and may it help to ease the pain you are feeling.

My friend Joe, my heart goes out to you and the memories and great times we shared together will always be remembered. From all of our stories about Vegas, our favorite movies, sports, busting each other and fellow coworkers, and let's not forget you stealing my lunch everyday, I could not ask for a better supervisor to have worked for.
