Obituary of Joseph Santangelo

Joseph S. Santangelo, 54, of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Joseph was born in Newark and had lived in Clark, NJ and Conshohocken, PA. He was a store manager for Lowes for over 20 years, most recently in Bayonne. Joseph was a member of the Pop Warner Football programs in Clark and also the Clark Baseball Little League. He was an avid Ranger fan for over 23 years. Joseph was predeceased by his mother, Antoinette Santangelo; and a brother, Antonio Santangelo. He is survived by his father, Antonio "Tony" Santangelo of Bedminister; a daughter, Angela Santangelo; a son, Joseph Santangelo both of Clark; his fiancé, JeanneMarie Chieffo-Magill and two stepsons, Jacob and Zachary Magill of Conshohocken, PA; a sister, Nancy Anne Knapp of Whiting; a brother, Michael Santangelo and his wife, Kelley of Howell; two nephews, Michael, Jr. and Christopher Knapp; and a niece, Ashley Knapp-Frascella and her husband, Christopher. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 4:00 TO 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joseph may be made to the Joseph S. Santangelo Memorial Fund.
