Obituary of Henry McGirr
Henry F. "Hank" McGirr, 54, of Barnegat passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York. Hank was born and raised in New York before settling in Barnegat 27 years ago. He was a clothing salesman for Brooks Brothers, The Grove in Shrewsbury for 18 years. Hank had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid Yankees and Rangers fan. Hank was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Madeline (Lennon) McGirr; a brother, Thomas McGirr; and a sister, Elizabeth McGirr. He is survived by his wife, Diane McGirr of Barnegat; a daughter, Kelly Reale and her husband, Daniel of Brick; a son, Michael McGirr of Barnegat; two brothers, Kevin McGirr of Brooklyn and John McGirr of Egg Harbor; three sisters, Maureen Hanley of Ozone Park, Barbara Shannon of Red Bank and Rita McGirr of Manhattan; three sisters-in-law, Candace Hess and her husband, Anthony of Pennsylvania, Deborah Dominick of Bayville and Colleen Minaidis and her husband, Michael of Atlantic Highlands; and many nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM.
